Mission: Promote and support the role of CHWs by creating job opportunities and career awareness in Minnesota.
Priority Objectives:
1. Promote the role of the CHWs and identify the benefits they bring to organizations.
a. Implement more Employer Forum Webinars – Carol Berg
b. Outreach on a 1:1 with potential employers
2. Communicate with community members about the role of CHWs and how they would
benefit from them (Marketing tools).
3. Share best practices on CHW activities and outcomes through Alliance webpage.
4. Provide CHW employee/employer training.
a. Supervisory Training
b. Offer CHW on-site specialized training
5. Identify additional funding sources to help pay for CHWs and assit with grant
opportunities.
Second Level Objectives:
1. Data Base Tool
2. CHW Legislation – advance and update – demonstrate best practice models (White Paper)
3. Identify barriers – advance CHWs
